Cardboard Boat Races

Students from 19 schools across the Simcoe Muskoka School Board competed in the annual cardboard boat races held at the Sportsplex in Bracebridge. The boat from V.K Greer Public School in Port Sydney posted the fastest time for a length of the pool at 32.76 seconds, while the boat from Monck Public School in Bracebridge was able to hold the most weight at 272 lbs before sinking. Afterwards students enjoyed some free time in the pool.

Havoc In Huntsville

Canadian Pro Wrestling came to Huntsville for the first time for the Huntsville Havoc wrestling event. The CPW features many former WWE wrestlers including Highlander Robbie and Cody Deaner. The Havoc was held at Huntsville Public School, where over 100 people came out to see some family friendly old school wrestling.

J'aime Payne and her grandfather Lyle Payne, (both in yellow) are holding the You Are Not Alone fundraiser for new cancer equipment at the Huntsville Hospital. Lyle Payne raised fundraised for much of the older equipment in use years ago and is now battling cancer himself.
