Apr 18 2012

Earle Northover's Grandfather Clarence Northover was the Halifax Police Constable in charge of protecting the bodies of Titanic victim's from souvenir hunters after the ship's sinking in 1912. Clarence was ordered to burn the clothes of all the victim's but couldn't bring himself to destroy a tiny pair of children's shoes. In 2005 Earle donated the shoe's to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic in Halifax where they are showcased in a display of Titanic relics.
